The Knights 1729 held its 1st annual golf tournament!
The Knights 1729 held their 1st annual golf tournament on 26 April 2025. A total of 11 teams played. Proceeds were used to award $3000.00 in scholarships to Kofa High School graduates.

The Somerton Young Citizen Scholarship Fund was created by the Knights of Columbus Immaculate Heart of Mary Somerton Council 1729 to provide students in need with the opportunity to afford or pay for education related expenses thereby easing the economic barriers commonly encountered by disadvantaged youth in the Somerton Arizona area.

2026 Somerton Young Citizen Scholarship
The Knights 1729 will award scholarships to eligible High School Seniors for school year ending 2025. In order to apply for a scholarship, candidates must be high school students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher and live in Somerton or the surrounding area. Download the application to apply. Deadline to submit application packets is 30 April 2025.
